Terms of Service

Using ListenDex

• You are responsible for your account, login credentials, profile, reviews, lists, comments, ratings, and other activity.
• You may not use ListenDex to break the law, infringe rights, harass others, manipulate the service, spam users, scrape at scale, or interfere with security.
• ListenDex may limit, suspend, remove, or terminate accounts or content that violate these terms, create legal risk, or harm the community.

User content

• You keep ownership of reviews, lists, comments, bios, and other original content you create.
• You grant ListenDex a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, reproduce, format, moderate, and promote your content in connection with operating and marketing ListenDex.
• You represent that you have the rights needed to post your content and that your content does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Do not upload or post full copyrighted lyrics, pirated files, leaked music, unauthorized downloads, or content that exists primarily to infringe rights.
• Creator credit and Byline credit are attribution features only. They do not create payment, royalties, sponsorship, endorsement, promoted placement, employment, agency, partnership, or revenue-sharing rights.

Music metadata and artwork

• ListenDex displays third-party music metadata and artwork from providers such as Spotify, Last.fm, MusicBrainz, and Cover Art Archive.
• Music metadata, album art, artist images, and service marks remain subject to the rights and policies of their respective owners and providers.
• ListenDex may remove, replace, or alter metadata, artwork, links, or pages when a provider, rights holder, or policy requires it.

Paid features and ads

• ListenDex may offer Plus, Studio, or other paid tiers with benefits such as ad-free browsing, deeper listening stats, collection tools, creator perks, and early access.
• Free accounts may see ads. Unknown ad preferences default to non-personalized ads, and personalized ads are opt-in where ListenDex offers that choice.
• Paid Plus and Studio entitlements remove ListenDex third-party ad slots and associated ListenDex ad script loading while the entitlement is active.
• Listed subscription prices are annual recurring prices in USD unless otherwise stated, exclude applicable taxes, and renew each year until canceled.
• Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Users can manage or cancel billing through Stripe's billing portal where available.
• Canceling stops future renewal but does not automatically refund the current paid period unless ListenDex or Stripe states otherwise.
• ListenDex gets paid through subscriptions, ads, and possible affiliate programs. Users do not receive payment, ad revenue share, subscription revenue share, royalties, or affiliate revenue unless a separate written affiliate or creator program agreement says so.

Moderation and copyright

• ListenDex may moderate profiles, reviews, lists, comments, images, links, and account behavior to enforce these terms and protect the service.
• Copyright complaints should use the DMCA/copyright process or be sent to copyright@listendex.app. Repeat infringers may be terminated.
• Policy decisions may consider legal requirements, provider requirements, community safety, product integrity, and operational risk.

Disclaimers and limits

• ListenDex is provided as available and may change, break, or be discontinued.
• ListenDex does not guarantee that metadata, ratings, statistics, recommendations, imports, or third-party links are accurate or complete.
• ListenDex is not responsible for third-party services, APIs, providers, websites, ads, music services, or content outside ListenDex control.

Changes

ListenDex may update these terms as product features, monetization, provider requirements, and legal obligations change.
